Some things in life are undisputed truths: water is wet, the sky is blue, and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s hair is iconic.

Kate’s gorgeous brunette hair is such a signature part of her look and an endless source of hair inspo. But even though she’s always pure perfection, she still manages to find a way to make her style completely relatable. Case in point: her love of plastic claw hair clips.

Yes, Kate Middleton may wear a diamond tiara on occasion, but girl still loves herself some ’90s plastic hair claw clips. And we’re into it.

The Duchess stepped out yesterday in a beautiful cobalt coat for her first public appearance of 2017, and her whole look was flawless (as per usual), but we’re really digging her simple and cheap hair accessory. She pulled her glossy blowout away from her face with two teeny tiny plastic claw clips.

Yes, the same clips you can snag at your closest drugstore. We love that Kate isn’t above those plastic clips that we all have lying around in a bathroom drawer somewhere. This is why she is our favorite.

Kate’s hair is always #hairgoals, so she could tie it up in a garbage bag and we’d be searching YouTube for “garbage bag hair tutorials,” but the fact that Kate chose such a cheap and normal accessory is why we love her so much. She’s completely unfussy. She’s never afraid to repeat a favorite outfit, and she loves mini plastic claw clips.

Truly a princess of the people.

This video of a woman getting her hair stuck in a drone went viral, and um, ouch?

If you’ve ever had long hair, you’ve likely got it caught in something or other. I’ve been lucky enough to suffer this tragedy twice, having my hair caught in a Jacuzzi jet, and also viciously stuck to a round brush…both of which were more embarrassing than they were painful, thankfully.

But one woman recently found her hair stuck in a drone, which is the most 2017 hair conundrum ever.

A woman named Sheena, who has gorgeous, long blonde locks got caught — quite literally — in a situation when her husband Matthew attempted to land a drone on her back (whyyyyy?) and it attacked her hair. Adding insult to injury, Sheena’s hubby decided to film the event, and now the video has gone viral on YouTube. Because, 2017.

According to Mashable, Sheena attempted to get the drone out of her hair, but not before the couple’s young daughter got a hold of the remote, further tangling the device in her hair. The video is painful to watch, and we feel for you, Sheena.

The couple says Sheena’s hair was mostly unharmed in the debacle, but Matthew did cut his hand on the drone. Surely Matthew has learned his lesson and will not be landing his drone on any family members from now on.

Thankfully, all parties involved are OK, and now the video lives on forever. Lesson learned: drones and long hair don’t mix.

Kristen Wiig has always been a hair chameleon, and while she’s never afraid of changing up her look… her latest style has us wanting to grab the scissors, because it’s absolutely beautiful.

In what might be her most dating ~lew~ yet, Kristen just debuted a blonde pixie cut ahead of her highly-anticipated return to the Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, and though she’s rocked a blonde bob before, the pixie feels fresh and looks flawless on her.

Kristen’s new style made its first appearance in a promo video for her Saturday, November 19th appearance on SNL when she did the Mannequin Challenge alongside the cast, and we obviously can’t wait to watch the show.

This is Kristen’s 7th time (!!) changing up her locks this year alone, having started out the year in January with long, honey blonde highlights at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

By February, she had cropped her locks into a long, wavy bob for the Zoolander 2 premiere.

In April, she traded her blonde for a rich, chocolate brunette shade.

By July’s premiere of Ghostbusters, though, Kristen had lightened up her look for summer… she rocked a light brunette bob, complete with her signature beachy waves.

In September, she added some gorgeous caramel tones to her look at a Stand Up 2 Cancer event in Los Angeles.

Finally, in October, she debuted a short, choppy look with side bangs, all before taking the plunge to pixie ahead of her SNL appearance.

No word on if Kristen will change up her look yet again before Saturday, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for her adorable blonde pixie. Check out the hilarious promo video here, and don’t forget to tune in to see her host on Saturday night.

Welp, looks like people are dyeing their hair with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee now

Morning coffee is many things to many people — for some of us, it’s a lovely morning pick-me-up, and for others, it’s literally our life blood. 100% necessary for survival. But did you know your morning cup of coffee can also be used to dye your hair?

This is not a drill, people. The creative geniuses at Spoon University have successfully figured out how to dye your hair using Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and it’s equal parts delicious and daring.

If you’re one of those adventurous souls who has used everything from Kool Aid to dye your hair to lemon juice for natural sunny highlights, you’re going to be hitting up your local Dunkin’s ASAP to give this a try.

This is good news for people concerned with how damaging to hair the dyeing process can be, because the coffee doesn’t have harsh chemicals that most commercial dyes do. According to the article, the best coffee to use is Dunkin’ Donuts Dark Roast Ground Coffee which will give the hair a rich, brunette tone.

Not only is the coffee chemical-free, caffeine is known to stimulate hair growth and will also moisturize your locks, leaving them shinier and healthier (BONUS!) than before. Spoon University gave an easy step-by-step guide to the process, which involves brewing the grounds, letting them cool, then combining the grounds with conditioner and coating hair, as with normal dyes.

As with any hair dyeing process, following the given instructions is crucial, of course… but it certainly seems there’s a new easy (and fun!) way to change up your locks for winter without inflicting too much damage to your strands.

Just another reason to love your morning cup of joe.
