Nordstrom made the right call and pulled Moschino’s pill-themed collection from its shelves

Nordstrom, one of the biggest and most popular department stores has pulled Moschino’s pill-themed collection from shelves, and we’re applauding their decision. After receiving backlash from online shoppers who felt that the Italian luxury brand’s drug-themed spring/summer 2017 collection was glamorizing opioid abuse, the department chain has officially announced plans to pull the collection altogether.

In a statement to Women’s Wear Daily, a spokesperson for Nordstrom had this to say about the company’s decision:

“We appreciate all the constructive feedback we received from concerned customers and ultimately decided to remove the collection from our site and the three stores where we offered it.”

Nordstrom is, so far, the only retailer to respond to a Change.org petition created by a drug and alcohol counselor named Randy Anderson who came across the collection online and contacted department stores, asking them to remove the items and the associated imagery from their stores and websites. It’s a commendable move by Nordstrom to show that they are sensitive to their customers’ needs and wishes, even if it means potentially losing out on financial success from sales of the collection.

It’s clear that Nordstrom is listening to their customers, and they should be applauded for making the right call on this one. Here’s hoping that other retailers are also listening to their customers’ specific concerns and responding accordingly, as well.

I can’t be alone when I say that nothing annoys me more than super-expensive gym clothes. I’ve never understood the point of paying a million bucks for clothes that I’m just going to sweat all over, multiple times a week. Luckily, Kylie Jenner feels exactly the same way, and she’s showing off her super-affordable (and also totally adorable) sports bra that won’t break the bank and comes from your favorite store. Score!

Kylie showed off her sports bra on Snapchat while playing around with the puppy dog filter (one of Kylie’s favorites) and Teen Vogue reports that the bra, which is a gorgeous dusty pink shade, was “part of H&M’s For Every Victory collection that was released in conjunction with this summer’s Olympics in Rio.”

Gina Rodriguez is pretty much nailing it when it comes to red carpet fashion these days. I mean, she can rock an elegant, floral print gown just as well as super cool, wide-leg pants and an off-the-shoulder top.

Of course, she wore this ethereal Badgley Mischka printed gown just last week at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new movie, Deepwater Horizon, and wowed the heck out of us.

We love that Drew Barrymore looks like a casual salsa dancer en route to her business meetings

Most of us are all too familiar with the struggle that is getting ready for work in the morning. We want to get dressed up in a bold, flowery dress with statement shoes or jewelry, ready to take the day on and dazzle our cubemates. But then, life happens, and that all gets thrown out the window. We sleep through our alarms, spill our coffee, royally mess up our eyeliner, and we end up settling on our safe go-to outfits… boring.

Viola Davis looked like a real-life Princess Peach at the Emmys

After her inspiring and epic acceptance speech at the 2015 Emmys, all eyes were naturally on Viola Davis at this year’s show, especially since she was nominated yet again for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder. Viola has also become a red carpet icon for the past several years, due to her elegant and unique red carpet choices. She pretty much always manages to hit the mark when it comes to her awards show style, and last night was no exception.

Viola rocked a stunning hot pink Marchesa gown to celebrate her nomination, and while she looked truly beautiful in a color that’s not terribly easy for most of us to pull off, we couldn’t help noticing that she resembled a real-life version of Princess Peach.

If you’re not a Super Mario fan, you may not recognize the name at first… but you’ll definitely recognize her signature pink frock, and the fact that she’s kick-butt the lead female in the Nintendo franchise. Peach has remained faithfully by Mario’s side since she debuted in Super Mario Bros. all the way back in 1985 (!!), and she packs a punch in hot pink, just like Viola. The video game darling and the acclaimed actress are one in the same when it comes to looking gorgeous wherever they are, from Mushroom Kingdom to Middleton University, and we’re obsessed.

We all have different ideas of what a dream wedding dress looks like. Some people are all about a classic lace dress à la Kate Middleton, while others dream of a ball gown fit for a Disney princess… and many want something right in between. Some ladies want to have an outfit change or two, to show off their unique style, while others are all about that one statement-making gown on their big day.

A Thai actress named Chotika Wongwilas, who goes by Noey, proved you can do all of that and more on her wedding day — she wore four different gowns (!!!) in celebration of her nuptials, but it was her reception dress that the internet is officially obsessed with. Noey’s couture Zuhair Murad gown was so big, it took over the dance floor. Can you say #weddinggoals?

Noey married Arm Maneechy in an elaborate ceremony, but it was this breathtaking ball gown that we’re literally drooling over.

According to PopSugar, “The Zuhair Murad design, though tight at the lace bodice, fanned out into an extensive train that swept the dance floor. Noey completed her bridal look with feminine touches, like a satin waist belt, delicate veil, and simple diamond studs.” Swoon.

As for Noey’s bridesmaids, they wore “polished satin pink maxis,” custom-designed by Noey’s fashion brand.

Mel B’s daughter looks like she’s training to become a mini Spice Girl

Mel B (aka Scary Spice, obvs) certainly has a ton on her plate these days. As she’s juggling hosting duties for the fourth time on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent with the kinda-sorta Spice Girls reunion in honor of their 20-year anniversary (OMG!), she’s also a mom of three and a certified fitness queen. Is there anything she can’t do? (The answer, of course, is a resounding no.)

Last night, our favorite sassy Spice Girl mixed work duties with mom duties in the best way – she brought her daughter, Madison, for an awesome red carpet photo-op before a taping of AGT at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Of course, Mel herself looked stunning as per usual, but it was little cutie Madison that stole the show because…

She seriously looks like a mini Spice Girl-in-training, and it’s so adorable.

The mommy-daughter night out could have been an early birthday present for Madison, as she turns five tomorrow (aw!). Plus, she looked perfectly Spicy in her grey tulle dress with shiny silver sneakers to match. All she needs is a platform on those kicks and a microphone, and we’ve got a next generation Spice Girl on our hands.

Even though her mom is Scary Spice, it actually seems that Madison is more of a fan of Ginger!

Mel shared a hilarious shot to Instagram a few weeks ago of Madi all dressed up as Geri, red wig and all.

Quvenzhané Wallis looked like a mini Beyoncé on last night’s red carpet

Guys, Quvenzhané Wallis is only 13 years old, and we need to talk about the fact that she’s already a fashion icon. The actress, whose voice will next appear on the big screen in Trolls this fall, joined Beyoncé on the red carpet for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. At the event, Queen Bey was up for 11 awards (for her iconic visual album, Lemonade) and she graciously decided to share her moment on the red carpet with many of the ladies who appeared in the HBO special back in April.

Aside from Wallis, Bey was joined by fellow Lemonade ladies Chloe and Halle Bailey, Ava Clarke, Winnie Harlow, Trayvon Martin’s mother (Sybrina Fulton), Michael Brown’s mother (Lezley McSpadden), and Oscar Grant’s mother (Wanda Johnson). It was a powerful show of feminism for all the ladies involved, and especially for Wallis, who was one of the youngest girl bosses in the stunning group.

Wallis even tweeted her joyful reaction to Bey’s 15-minute Lemonade performance, having the same reaction we all did when she took the stage.

These are the 24 best looks from the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

If there’s one thing that’s undeniably true, it’s that the stars bring out the big guns when it comes to award show fashion each year at the MTV Video Music Awards. It’s the same red carpet that has historically given us Lady Gaga in a meat dress, Lil Kim in a sparkly purple body suit with an (ahem…) strategically placed nipple cover, and Gwen Stefani in a fuzzy blue bikini top. The VMAs are so much fun each year because anything goes, and it’s truly a place for our favorite celebrities to let their creativity and fashion sense fly.

This year didn’t disappoint, and the looks were pretty eclectic all the way around. People seemed to be feeling a casual vibe, which set the tone for a fun, chill show. Of course, there were definitely a few scene stealers (Blue Ivy in the most gorgeous dress on the planet, anyone?) and overall a lot of unique, beautiful ensembles.
